Buying a car or renovating the bathroom, that was the big question here.
Our customer couple had to make a decision: a new, stylish car for the lady of the house or an even more stylish new bathroom. They decide in favor of the new bathroom, which of course made us happy and which our customers will certainly appreciate more than they would from a car that has to be replaced after 10 years at the latest.
The bathroom on the 1st floor of the building from the 1980s was a challenge for the planning team, as an attractive design of the tapered room was not that easy. All functionalities such as tub, shower, washbasin and toilet should be accommodated. This succeeded, as is easy to see.
The tub and basin in matt gray and stainless steel fittings suited our client, who deals with these colors and materials in his everyday work. These sober tones are neutralized by the integration of mosaic, the solid teak vanity top and the wooden floor, which was also laid in the hallway, and suddenly appear in a completely different light. The sliding door made of satinised safety glass closes the bathroom area off from the hallway and brings light into the otherwise dark hallway.
