With a structured plan, a large storage room became two new rooms: a smaller storage room and a barrier-free toilet that meets the needs of people with disabilities.
Both employees and guests with disabilities can feel comfortable in the new barrier-free toilet of the listed company building, since all necessary options were considered during construction in 2013.
A wide sliding door provides easy access to the bathroom, which offers a lot of space over 10 square meters and thus allows a minimum of freedom of movement. The Duravit washbasin is wheelchair accessible and can therefore also be used by wheelchair users without any problems. The mirror, which stretches across the entire wash area, optically enlarges the room.
The two heavy-duty handles from Keuco, which were installed on both sides of the toilet, guarantee safety in every situation. Thanks to its projection of 70 centimetres, the Duravit toilet is easy to approach with a wheelchair and enables easy transfer. In this way, a largely independent use is guaranteed.
With the installation of a nursing couch, the barrier-free toilet is optimally equipped and flexibly furnished. The couch is height-adjustable, and the individual parts of the couch can also be adapted to the individual needs of the user. In addition to the functional and comfortable furnishings, the color design of the room in particular ensures moments of well-being: the white and sand-colored tones create a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
